Advent Calendar: Day 11

Today’s advent calendar wine has quite an interesting backstory. The wine is actually named after a wandering dog that spent 6 days and 100 miles hiking across South Africa’s wild coast with the brand’s co-founders.

Lubanzi Red Blend 2020

An old-school Rhone blend with a contemporary style using vineyards throughout the coastal region, the wine encapsulates the diversity of the area while showcasing its champion, Shiraz.

Grape Variety: Shiraz, Mourvedre, Grenache

ABV: 13.5%

Vintage: 2020

Country: South Africa

Tasting notes: Black fruits and spice with barley sugar, lemon iced tea and hints of cracked black pepper. Deliciously floral, fruity and earthy.
