Orange wine is all the rage at the moment. However, contrary to popular belief, oranges are not involved in the production of orange wine.

Defy Organic Orange Wine

Grape Variety: 100% Verdejo

ABV: 13%

Country: Spain

Tasting notes ; The grape is the Mediterranean Verdejo (100%) with no added sulphites. The grapes are all hand-picked and left to ferment for just over a year in steel tanks with the skins, some grape must and a bit of the stem as well, to give it that unique colour and flavour. This of course is where the ‘orange’ in the name comes from. The wine has gone through spontaneous malolactic fermentation.
